Kittens

There’s nothing like the sweet little face of a kitten and the high energy, playful spirit that comes with them! Tails High aims to help the community by taking in litters of kittens in need, as well as orphan kittens, when they’re most fragile to ensure they’re in an experienced foster home to get them healthy and well socialized. All of our kittens are with us until they’re ready for spay/neuter surgery before going to their forever homes. We prefer to place young kittens in homes with other cats or adopt them as pairs to continue to provide an enriched environment as cats learn so much from each other. Come visit our available kittens at our adoption events or schedule a meet and greet after completion of an approved adoption application.

Fresita, Female, Born May 2023

Fresita

Fresita, meaning little strawberry, is just as sweet as her name. She’s a very happy and playful girl, despite having very serious and hilarious eyebrows! She loves to play with her good friend, Ambrosia, in their foster home and especially likes all of the feather teaser wands. Fresita loves to play so much that she caused an injury to her knee that we’ve been working with our vets to address. With anti-inflammatory injections, she has been back to her normal kitten self and our vets don’t think this should hold her back from finding her forever home. We will gladly partner with her new owners on her treatment plan to ensure her knee is back to 100%. Fresita would love to join a family with other kitties to play with or to be adopted along with another kitten friend like Ambrosia.

Spinach, Male, Born November 2023

Spinach

Spinach, Kale and Butterhead were rescued with their momma, Arugula, near a Hydroponic Farm and boy were they scaredy cats at first. Spinach is still a little shy but comes out for Churu and playtime. Once he’s in your lap, he purrs so loudly and wiggles around to show his belly for skritches. We know he just needs a little more time to open up because he’s a playful little guy once he’s comfortable. It would help him tremendously to be adopted along with one of his brothers to continue building his confidence. He LOVES his crinkle balls and is an expert soccer player! This trio is so adorable and deserving of wonderful homes. We would love if someone wanted 3 kittens, but know that can be a tall order! They must be adopted into a home with other cats as they’re playful and love to be with one another so they would enjoy company.

Vera, Female, Born November 2023

Vera

Vera was rescued from a construction site where she was all alone and in desperate need of help. She was understandably very scared when she first came to us but she’s come so far to get comfortable in her foster home! Vera loves to play and can’t get enough toys! She’s very athletic and chases the wand toys, ball tracks and everything else she can get her paws on. Vera is accepting of pets and can be a very sweet girl after she settles in but her potential new family should know she will need some time to get comfortable. We think she would do very well in a home with other kitties to play with as she enjoys being with other cats.

Matzoh, Female, Born January 2024

Matzoh

Little Matzoh was rescued by concerned community members in DC that saw neighborhood kids pestering the sweet stray kitten. Matzoh quickly showed them that she belonged indoors and warmed up to attention in no time. She’s an adorable and affectionate kitty that is 100% lap cat. Matzoh loves to cuddle up beside her foster mom to watch TV or sit quietly purring while letting her work. Matzoh is playful and silly, like most kittens, and would really enjoy a playmate in her forever home.

He loves to chase his best friend Oat Milk, who is also adoptable, all around and groom her floof lovingly. My Funny Valentine has the cutest little white spot on his chest and super loving eyes. Oat Milk, Male, Born August 2023

Oat Milk

checking out a new family

Oat Milk is more than just good looks, she’s the total package! This adorable girl came to Tails High completely terrified of humans but all she needed was some time to settle in and learn that she was safe. Oat Milk has blossomed in her foster home where she has become very comfortable being pet, picked up and even getting kisses in her fluffy head. A huge part of her ability to settle in has been having kitty friends to build her confidence. Oat Milk adores her foster brother, My Funny Valentine, and we think they would make the best pair to be adopted together! At 7 months old, she is very playful and enjoys running around with My Funny Valentine and their other foster kitten friends. She loves wand toys, sparkle balls and climbing the cat tree where she lounges in the sun for good afternoon naps. She’s a big fan of Churu and is very good at sharing them with Valentine. She absolutely needs a patient adopter that will understand she might be nervous in a new home at first but will come around in time. She also needs to be adopted with another kitten or to a home that has other young kitties already.

Prince, Male, Born May 2023

Prince

checking out a new family

Prince is a perfect little gentleman that loves to play and snuggle. He loves lounging in the cat tree, chasing the laser pointer and hanging out in a sunbeam! Prince is an easy going guy that enjoys hanging out with his foster mom and dad but he can also be independent and keep himself entertained while you’re busy working or out running errands. Prince loves cat nip kicker toys and has the occasional zoomies. Even though he looks like a full grown cat, he is still a young guy at 10 months old and has kitten energy! He is a sweetheart and often walks up to his foster mom and places his paws across her lap, looking up into her eyes asking for attention and pets. Prince has a big personality and has been a bit intimidating for more shy kitties in his foster home, so we think he would be a great single kitty where he can be your number one and shine on his own!

Butterhead, Male, Born November 2023

Butterhead

checking out a new family

Butterhead, Spinach and Kale were rescued with their momma, Arugula, near a Hydroponic Farm and boy were they scaredy cats at first. Butterhead was always a little bit more outgoing, so it was no surprise he was out and about in his foster home within a day, asking for pets. Butterhead is the leader of the pack and loves attention. He rolls over for belly rubs and purrs as soon as you even look in his direction. He’s super playful, chasing the cat dancer wand and whatever else he can get his paws on. He’s also a big fan of the window bed and watching all of the birdies fly by, making cute little chirps. This trio is so adorable and deserving of wonderful homes. We would love if someone wanted 3 kittens, but know that can be a tall order! They must be adopted into a home with other cats as they’re playful and love to be with one another so they would enjoy company.

Kale, Male, Born November 2023

Kale

checking out a new family

Kale, Butterhead and Spinach were rescued with their momma, Arugula, near a Hydroponic Farm and boy were they scaredy cats at first. Kale, who was the most shy in his first foster home, has actually become the most affectionate of the 3 kitties and can’t get enough attention. Kale stands on his hind legs to grab his foster mom’s hand softly and ask her to pick him up. He’s such a sweetheart! He loves to play with his brothers, especially with the cat dancer wand and ball track toys. This trio is so adorable and deserving of wonderful homes. We would love if someone wanted 3 kittens, but know that can be a tall order! They must be adopted into a home with other cats as they’re playful and love to be with one another so they would enjoy company.
