Tails High Adoption Application Form

In order to be considered as an adopter, you must:

Be 18 years of age or older
Have identification showing your present address
Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord (if applicable)
Be willing and able to spend the time and money to care for the pet, including veterinary care

In order to find a “forever home” for cats and kittens in our care, we (as do most rescue organizations and shelters) feel it is necessary to learn as much as possible about you and your lifestyle before adopting. As with human children, we do not wish to see animals bounced in and out of homes before finding the perfect match. This application is lengthy in an attempt to be sure that a cat adopted from Tails High, Inc. is properly suited to your lifestyle. This will help reduce stress to you, your household, and the cat(s).

You will be asked to sign a legal contract when adopting your cat and pay a nonrefundable adoption fee. Adoption fees are necessary to keep the rescue operation thriving and cover such veterinary services as feline leukemia/FIV test, distemper and rabies vaccinations, deworming, and spaying or neutering,

We are an all volunteer organization and unfortunately are unable to answer every phone call and email we receive. You will be contacted only if your application is approved.
