These two had a tough start surviving outdoors but their sweet personalities quickly shined through once they were safe. It was clear from the beginning that they were inseparable. Lune is soft and thoughtful like the moonlight she is named for, while Soleil is bold and sunny with a playful spark. They adore each other and are often found walking side by side with tails intertwined. They enjoy wand toys, cozy window perches, and being near their people. They have also blossomed beautifully in foster care thanks to a patient and loving foster family. Both girls are FeLV positive which means they need to remain together and be the only cats in the home or live with other FeLV positive companions. They are healthy, happy, and ready for a calm home where they can continue to thrive. This pretty girl was living as a stray in DC and made many friends in her neighborhood that cared for her. She was always rubbing against their legs to let them know she was a nice girl, but she was somewhat timid and no one was committing to bringing her inside. It turned out that Vanny was always on the move because she was a busy mama that had kittens to get back to and we were so very happy to get her and all of her babies safely inside to foster homes. Her kittens have found loving homes and now it’s her turn to have the happily ever after that she deserves! Vanny is a big fan of looking out the window, lounging in a sunny spot, but very glad she isn’t living outside any longer! She adores temptations and the nightly ritutal of laser pointer time, zooming up the cat tree to reach the top and get that pesky red light. Vanny is social with other cats in her foster home but she’s also pretty independent and wouldn’t mind being the only pet in the household. We aren’t sure of her background beyond the time she was rescued as a stray this fall, but we do know she’s a lovely girl that is very happy inside only. She has that same easy, no-nonsense presence that\u2019s quietly comforting without asking for much in return. She\u2019s a low key cat who mostly keeps to herself, content to spend her days stretched out in a sunny window or tucked into a favorite spot nearby. She enjoys calm routines and a peaceful home where nothing feels rushed or overwhelming. Strega Nona isn\u2019t demanding and doesn\u2019t need to be entertained. She shows affection in subtle ways, choosing when to be close and appreciating gentle attention on her terms. She\u2019s the kind of cat who fits naturally into your life rather than trying to run it. She doesn\u2019t mind other cats and can coexist just fine, but she doesn\u2019t require a feline friend to be happy. Though she\u2019s blind, Kalei doesn\u2019t see the world as limited. In fact, she sees it more beautifully than most, with curiosity, confidence, and pure joy. Like the shifting patterns of her namesake, she makes every day feel full of color and wonder. Petite in size, with a short tail she whips back and forth in excitement, Kalei is overflowing with personality. She greets new people like old friends, eager for love, headbutts, and maybe even a few purrs. It\u2019s hard to believe this sweet girl once came to us shut down and scared. Now she\u2019s crafted a world that\u2019s all her own, where everything is new, fun, and worth exploring. And explore she does. Kalei runs, plays, climbs, and chases her foster kitten friends with fearless joy. She\u2019s especially drawn to wand toys with bells she can follow by sound, darting after them with delight. He\u2019s incredibly playful whether he\u2019s romping with other cats, entertaining himself with his toys, or inviting his humans to join in, and he\u2019s especially proud of his favorite trick of carrying toys around in his mouth and \u201cgifting\u201d them to you. Don\u2019t be surprised if you find a toy mouse tucked into your bed or scattered across the room shortly after you\u2019ve neatly put everything away. When playtime winds down, Wilbur turns into a total cuddle bug who melts in your arms when picked up, happily lets you hold him like a baby, and tolerates all the kisses you want to give. He loves perching behind you on the couch with a paw resting on your shoulder as if to remind you he\u2019s always close by, and he\u2019ll keep you company with his sweet little meow, especially when he knows mealtime is coming. He also enjoys spending time by the window, watching birds and the world go by, chattering softly at all the action outside. After coming from a difficult situation, he has shown nothing but love and sweetness to everyone he meets. Trinket is a soft spoken, shy little guy at first, but once he feels safe he melts into an affectionate companion who is happiest curled up in your lap soaking up reassuring pets. He gets along wonderfully with other cats and especially enjoys spending time with his foster sister Kaleidoscope, who is also available for adoption. The two play together, share cozy spots, and occasionally burst into zoomies around the house. Trinket\u2019s scarred eye from an old injury does not affect his vision at all and certainly does not slow him down when it comes to wand toys or chasing after his feline friends. One of his most charming traits is his tiny, high pitched chirpy voice that he uses when bird watching or announcing that it is time for his favorite event of the day, mealtime. This very young mom raised the sweetest kitten but yearned for time to herself. Once her kitten was adopted, gentle Aggie basked in the quiet, took time to adjust to her foster family of humans and cats, and considered her future. She decided that the adult humans are pretty fine with her, another live-and-let-live cat companion would be nice, and she prefers a quiet home with birds to watch out the window. It helps Aggie to start in a small space where she can be cozy and learn the ropes of her home. Once she can explore more broadly, she loves a quiet spot to retreat and recharge. Food and PurrPops are great ways to her heart, and she has the sweetest way of putting her head under your hand so you can let her and give chin scritches. Archie was found at a community cat colony, but it quickly became clear he was never meant for life outdoors. He is far too friendly and social to be fending for himself.
