Excerpts from emails we”ve received from happy adopters:
Marcy (now Lilly) [gray kitten] and Tiger [brown tabby kitten]:
I just want to say a big thank you to all of you at Tails High. Lilly and Tiger are such wonderful cats and have brought Tafa and I so much joy in the short time they’ve been in our home. We have so much fun playing with them or watching them play with each other and their big purrs when it’s time for cuddles just melt our hearts.
You would not believe how Lilly has managed to wrap both Tafa and I around her little paw. Recently I was away for work and there were a couple of times when I called home and got no answer, only to be told later by Tafa that Lilly had been on his lap and she gave him a don’t you dare look when he started moving to get the phone so he couldn’t answer (it was a little demoralizing to find out I now rank lower than the cat, but she’s such a sweetie that I’ve happily accepted my new position in life).
Robin (gray cat, mama to kittens Grayson, Spotty, Smudge, Squiggle; her kittens have also all been adopted!)
I’ve never seen a cat so patient about being picked up every half hour by a little boy. She definitely rounds the house out, even if she did go through the trash last night (my fault).
Badger (female, medium-hair, tortie kitten)
I’m happy to report that Badger – now named Coco – is fitting in wonderfully. She couldn’t be a sweeter cat, especially around the kids. In a way, it seems like she’s always been here.
She really is a very well-behaved cat. She doesn’t jump on the kitchen counters or the kitchen table which are the only two places that I’d like to keep cat-free. She enjoys sleeping on the table in our front living room window and in my clothes hamper. At night, she sleeps in our bed, usually on our pillows.
Simon seems to be doing well. He still has the odd cough, but that’s the only symptom and it’s getting better. No red eyes or stuffed nose or any of the typical allergy symptoms. He LOVES Coco and speaks in a high soft voice when he talks with her. It’s very cute. Anna has gotten much more comfortable around Coco too. Whenever she sees Coco, she’ll sit down right next to her and pet her – a big step from where she was one week ago. Anna also said “bye cat” the other day, which was her first two-word sentence.
As you can see, we are very happy with Coco and would like to adopt her. Please send along the paperwork. Thank you for helping us find our new family addition!
And these cute photos and message from Foster Mama Joyce after the area’s cold snap:
Sophie (calico kitten): “This is the first cold night of my wee short life. But you’ll see I’ve
found ways to keep warm!

This comment is for the post on Jasmine aka “Beleza.”
I actually found Jasmine outside my apartment complex and contacted Tails High immediately along with approximately 15 other shelther/vets/rescues.
Because I have cats I couldn’t risk keeping her at my small apartment so I talked to the animal shelter on Eisenhower Avenue and they agreed to take her temporarily. I made sure that she would be safe until I could figure out what the next steps would be to finding her a new home.
I actually named her “Bette” after Bette Davis because of her electric eyes. The shelter on Eisenhower named her “Jasmine.”
I worked with Joby to get her out of the Animal Shelter and I took her to a friends house where she lived for two weeks in her own private room. We thought she may have had a skin condition (hence the private room) that would have prevented her from being around other foster cats and animals at other Tails High homes. So, we waited for the results of all the tests to come back and it turned out that she was healthy all around. After two weeks, Tails High took Jasmine aka Bette aka Beleza to be spayed. It turned out she was already spayed. I have a feeling she was somebody’s pet that couldn’t take care of her anymore and just left her on her own
.
I just thought you would like more accurate history of her long adventure to a new home.
I have been looking on the Tails High website for more information and finally found this post. I am so happy that she has a loving home. I was worried about her. I knew from the second I found her that she would make a great pet.
Merry Christmas.
Thank you Tails High. You are the best.
